Lower Miss Operational Impact –
Due to the current river stage and operating conditions, ACBL has implemented draft and tow-size restrictions listed below.
Loading drafts were reduced to 16% NBD Gulf to Cairo.
Tow size has been reduced pending horsepower classification by 28%-33% (10-11 barges)
Expect delay to transit of 24-to-48 hours due to reduced navigable space in certain areas.

Meldahl (OR 436.2): Downstream Miter Gate and Culvert Valve repairs | Auxiliary Chamber Closure – estimated for September/November
Markland (OR 531.5): Down Stream Gate Rehab | Auxiliary Chamber – estimated for October/November
Marmet (KR 67.7): Inspection, dewatering, and misc. repairs | Main Chamber Closure
Jefferson Drawbridge(IR 287.90) – Now locked in the open position. It will remain open until repairs are performed, dates are currently TBD.
McAlpine Lock Closure (OR 606) – Beginning April 29th thru September 20th. there will be intermittent daytime closures for southbound traffic from 0700 to 1900, Monday through Saturday, to facilitate work on the Portland Canal wall. Northbound traffic will be permitted to transit, provided there are no divers in the water. June 26th 03:00: Passed 10 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 2.2 hours of delay. LPMS shows 2 tows waiting, averaging 7.0 hours of delay.
Meldahl Lock (OR 436.2) – Main chamber closure beginning the afternoon of June 13ththru September 2025 for maintenance to gates and lifting mechanisms. All locking operations will utilize the Small Chamber. June 26th 03:00: Passed 9 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 31.2 hours of delay. LPMS shows 7 tows waiting, averaging 24.0 hours of delay.
Cumberland River Closure (CR 190.5) – Scheduled closures to remove and replace powerlines from 0700 to 1800 on the following dates:
July 12th – July 13th
July 19th – July 20th
Wilson Lock (TR 259.4) -Main Chamber Closure 07:00 9/25 due to cracks in miter gate pintle. Expected Main Chamber opening is now June 30th. The main chamber will remain open for approximately two weeks to clear the current queue. It will then close until early August for repairs, after which normal operations will resume. June 26th 03:00: 4 tows passed in the last 24 hours, averaging 410.1 hours of delay. LPMS shows 37 tows waiting, which has an average of 298.0 hours of delay.
Pickwick Lock Closure (TR 206.7) – Scheduled Main Chamber closure beginning July 7th thru October 7, 2025, for work on the upper gate. The auxiliary chamber will remain open to navigation during this time.
Dardanelle Lock 10 (AK 205.5) – Scheduled daily closures with 70′ width restrictions from 0700-1900 beginning June 15th thru September 30th for construction.
James W. Trimble Lock (AK 292.8) – Scheduled daily closures with 70′ width restrictions from 0700-1900 beginning June 15th thru September 30th for construction.
Morley Lift Bridge Closures (PA 56) – There will be scheduled 16-hour intermittent closures for repairs from 1900-1100 on the following dates:

Bayou Sorrel Lock Closures (PA 36.7) –
Repairs are scheduled beginning July 21st, Monday thru Thursday, 0700-1730 and expected to last for 4 weeks.
June 26th 03:00: Passed 19 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 33.7 hours of delay. LPMS shows 15 tows waiting, averaging 34.4 hours of delay.
Algiers Canal Closures (AC 3.8) –
Old Hwy 23 Lift Bridge/Belle Chasse Bridge will undergo daily channel closures from Monday to Saturday, between May 19th and October 25th, from 0600 to 1430, due to the second phase of the remaining bridge structure demolition.
Scheduled closures beginning July 7th thru July 10th, 0700 – 1700 each day, for repairs to the miter gate machinery.
June 26th 03:00: Passed 10 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 74.5 hours of delay. LPMS shows 19 tows waiting, averaging 65.1 hours of delay.
Colorado River Locks (WC 440) – The East and West locks will have daytime restrictions Monday through Friday, January 29th thru June 27th. June 26th 03:00: Passed 23 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 4.25 hours of delay. LPMS shows 1 tow waiting, which has an average of 12.0 hours of delay.
Brazos Lock Closure (WC 401) – Daytime closures, originally scheduled from August 31, 2023, to April 30, 2025, have been extended through June 30, 2025. Closures will occur Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1900. June 26th 03:00: Passed 20 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 7.85 hours of delay. LPMS shows 14 tows waiting, averaging 15.75 hours of delay.
Calcasieu Lock (WC 238.5) –Daytime restrictions will be in effect from 0700 -1700, July 7th through July 11th, to accommodate scheduled repair work
Leland Bowman Lock Closure (WC 163) –
5- hour daytime closures will occur Monday through Friday, June 16th through June 20th, to continue installation of new hydraulic pump units. June 26th 03:00: Passed 41 tows in the last 24 hours, which averaged 4.4 hours of delay. LPMS shows 4 tows waiting, averaging 11.0 hours of delay.
Intermittent closures Monday thru Friday, from 0700-1700, to continue making repairs to the guide walls on the following dates:

July 7th – July 17th
July 21st – July 31st
Bayou Boeuf Lock (WC 93.3) – Repairs are scheduled beginning July 14th, Monday thru Thursday, 0700–1730, are expected to last 2–4 weeks. Bayou Chene is available as an alternate route.
